Do you fancy trying a healthy snack that’s actually good for you and full of nutrients ? Then give this delicious,simple quick recipe a go. Swap greasy potato crisps for this baked kale snack – drizzle with healthy oil and sprinkle with either a spicy mix or if you are a secret chocoholic – try sprinkling with healthy cacao before popping in the oven!

Cook time : 20 mins
Serves: 4-6 as a snack
Ingredients :
• 100g chunky chopped kale, or kale leaves, tough stalks removed (weight without stalks)
• ½ table spoon olive oil
• For Spicy Mix : Mix 1 tea spoon each of turmeric, ground cinnamon and coriander plus half tspn of paprika ( or more if you like it hot! )
or For Chocoholic Mix : Mix 2 tea spoon of cinnamon with 3 to 4 tea spoons of raw organic cacao powder( depending on how much of a chocoholic you are !! )
Method :
Heat oven to 150C/130C fan/gas 2 and line 2 large baking trays with baking parchment.
Wash the kale and dry thoroughly. Place in a large bowl, tearing any large leaves into smaller pieces.
Drizzle over the oil, then massage into the kale.
Place the kale onto baking trays- ensure the the kale is spread out in a single layer
For Spicy Mix : Mix 1 tsp each of turmeric, ground cinnamon and coriander ,plus half tspn of paprika ( or more if you like it hot! ) sprinkle onto the kale and ensure the kale is spread out in a single layer on the baking tray .
or For Chocoholic Mix : Mix 2 tsp of cinnamon with 4 tsp of raw organic cacao powder then sprinkle onto the kale and ensure the kale is spread out in a single layer.
Bake for 18-22 mins or until crisp but still green, then leave to cool for a few mins.
KEEP THEM CRISPY Kale crisps are best eaten within a few hours of making. If they become soft, just pop them back in a low oven for 3-4 mins to crisp up.
